Wild Workshop

In February Year Two took part in a "Wild Workshop". They met, held and studied  lots of different creepy crawlies from snails to mice and as you can see from the video on the right, they loved every minute of it!

They got to handle the different creatures and observe them closely before designing a "Mouse House" for one of their new friends.

Year Two took the lead roles in this year's nativity performance "Born in a Barn". Below, the children pose for their cast photos.

In November Year Two had a fire safety visit from Lancashire Fire Service. After a safety talk the fire officers then helped Miss Merifield into a full firefighter uniform!

During the autumn term the children have been working on place value in maths.

This year the children went on a history trip to Skipton Castle. Tying in with this trip and their current history project, the class drew castles in the Big Draw art week which then made up part of the school art exhibition in October and in November created three dimensional models of castles as well (the photos were taken on Children in Need Day when the children wore pyjamas to school).
