Year Three have had a busy start to the academic year! The video clip below shows them learning about rocks in geography, growing cress in science (and then eating it on egg sandwiches!), being visited by Ms Mossop, who works as a flight attendant, learning about the environment and recycling with workshops and a visit to Global Renewables and making some delicious nachos with tomato, garlic and onion salsa and cheese.
In year 3 and all the Key Stage 2 classes children are encouraged to be creative with open ended homework tasks called "the learning log". Josh chose to write and perform his own Harvest song. Click below to see his work.

In October the class created art work as part of the national Big Draw project based on Kandinsky's Circles. These formed part of the art exhibition in the school hall and were available for parents to buy framed copies.

As part of this term's science project Year Three have been learning about shadows and what causes them.
