Year Five

Year Five is taught by Mrs Stewart and Mrs Ife with help from Miss Shepherd, Mrs Hocking, Mrs Higginson (photo to follow) and Mr Baker

In November the children went on a residential trip to Tower Wood. To see what they got up to please click here.


 In March the children worked on the Rudyard Kipling poem "If" and some of them wrote their own version which can be seen here.

In year 5 all the children are asked to prepare a presentation as part of their "Learning Log" homework. The links below show John's Titanic presentation and Oliver's stop motion Lego space movie.

 Year Five are continuing with their violin lessons that they started last year. On a Thursday morning, a teacher from Lancashire Music Service, comes to teach the class in the school hall. The video below shows the class playing and singing their anti-bullying song.

 As part of the class geography project on rivers, some of the class made this "Riverwatch" video on the River Wyre.

 In the Autumn term Year 5 visited Cobble Hey Farm with staff from Garstang Community Academy. The workshop involved learning about Autumn and the class will get the opportunity to revisit during other seasons.
