Residential Trips

Each year, the school offers a residential trip for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. In recent years, this has alternated between Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre on the banks of Lake Windermere and York. In York the children visit places of historical interest such as the Yorvic Centre and its sister museum, Dig, Clifton Tower and the Railway Museum.

In recent years, some of the Year 6 children have also been able to go on an extra residential trip - this time to London. These trips were arranged via the office of our MP Ben Wallace who met the children after their tour of the Houses of Parliament. The children were also able to fit in lots of site-seeing with a walking tour taking in (amongst others) Westminster Abbey, Horseguards Parade, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. They also took a river cruise to Greenwich passing lots of other sites along the way.
