Reception Class

Our Reception class is taught by Mrs Wilson, supported by nursery nurse Mrs Dugdale and Teaching Assistants Mrs Hart , Ms Wood & Mrs Cross

Our Reception and Year One children all get to experience Woodland Schools, which is based on the Scandanavian Forest Schools programme. To learn more about this and see photos of the children in action please click here.


In our Reception, Year One and Year Two classes parents are encouraged to join us for "Independent Learning Time" in the mornings. For more information and feeback from parents on these sessions, please click here.

In february 2013 the class visited St Thomas' church to baptise  our class baby Elisha Buttercup! Mum, Dad, Godmothers and Godfathers joined the congregation.
In November the Life Education Van came to school and the children joined Harold the Giraffe to learn about the body! The school nurse also came to talk to us about hand hygiene.
The children have been learning about Rangoli patterns and using the computers to design their own. Below are some examples of their work.


In October the children from Reception Class joined the rest of the school at Harvest Festival singing "The Farmer Scatters the Seed" in church.
